HTC has the reputation to bring one of the best smart phones available in mobile market today but some years ago it has lost the battle ground while competing with Apple’s Iphone which bring revolution in the smart phone market but finally HTC is ready to get it back from Apple by introducing it’s latest hi-fi gadget named as HTC Dragon, also known as the Passion.

Rumors are catching up that it is loaded with Google’s mobile operating system called Android. At present Google is testing it thoroughly before it make a foray in the smart phone market. Reportedly it has just one virtual keyboard with a powerful 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor. Earlier version of HTC had physical keyboard and they used much slow processor. HTC Dragon will directly compete with iphone and counts over Motorola’s Droid. It has a 4.3-inch (480×800) capacitive display and a lithe silhouette. The powerful operating system of Google made it an unmatchable device with which you will get tons of features. This time it’s quite possible that it will be market with a brand name of Google as a “Google’s Phone” because Google is directly involved in the development. It is speculated that HTC dragon will provide a screen resolution of 800*400. The phone will be fully touch screen loaded with 2.0 firmware software along with the HTC Sense user interface which is applied for style. So this new Smart device from HTC can add a fuel to smart phone market and may be it will proved out to be “value for money”

When is the HTC dragon going to be released?
I heard mid december but the website wasn't sure. Also any other info about this mystery phone would be appreciated. i also hope it is released in december because thats when my plan ends

Answer:they are tho versions of the htc hd2 the passion is said to be headed to Verizon in mid december according to phone dog and engadget, the dragon should be headed for tmo on february again this is not final, i even emailed verizon and htc and they both said that they cant tell anything about their upcoming products which tells me that it is in fact ... coming. they also told me that the web page www.htcpassion.com is not from either verizon or htc so in my opinion its just wait and see because i was thinking on getting an unlocked htc hd2 or the moto droid, but i decided tp wait...

is it really true that an htc passion/dragon will soon come to the us (htc hd2)?

Answer:The HTC passion/dragon is different from the HTC HD2. The passion/dragon is an Android device with much of the same hardware. (1Ghz Snapdragon processor, 4.3 in capacitive touchscreen, etc) It is expected to be out for Verizon Wireless by Christmas or at the latest in the beginning of Quarter 1. The HTC HD2 is a Windows Mobile device confirmed to be coming to the US during the first quarter of 2010 with a "major" carrier most likely T-Mobile. Most information is currently speculative but by reliable sources as you can see from some of my sources that I listed.

anyone knows the exact release date fot the htc hd2/dragon/passion in the us?

Answer:sorry only htc knows the answer to that but its supposed to be out in the middle of december or at least before christmas. it will also be on verizon. hope this helps

should i get the htc hd2 on ebay, get the motorola droid, htc eris(hero) or wait untill the hd2 or 'dragon'?

Answer:I'm waiting for the passion(snapdragon) on verizon. But both my brothers have the Motorola Droid and they pretty much love them. Its really fast but its lacking multitouch like the iphone and the keyboard is pretty bad. And recent rumors say that the Motorola Calgary is coming out very soon and that it's basically the droid without a keyboard and perhaps a better camera. I say just wait another month til christmas to see if any other cool phones come out. Or just go to a verizon store and play with the droid and if you really like it feel its for you then get it. But if the passion is coming out soon i'd say get that.
