Motorola has reputation to bring product of 6 sigma standard that is 1 defect in a million. The company was facing hard time on the mobile front with no phone of the company which could compete or at least could be categories as a Smart phone but finally Motorola has come up with its offering in Smartphone segment with Calgary.

Calgary is Motorola’s first Smartphone which runs on the Google’s powerful mobile operating system Android. This Phone has a lot of promising features which make it very attractive. The phone has an elegant and vibrant touch screen. Calgary has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard quite similar to the Moto RAZR phones. It is dual band CDMA phone with two communication Bands are CDMA (1900 MHz), CDMA (800 MHz). Calgary is equipped with 3 megapixel camera with autofocus and digital zoom. This phone provide some unique features like Multiple Numbers per Nam , Predictive Text entry , Picture id , Ringer ID, To do list . This phone supports 3g and gives you a good experience of internet on your mobile phone with real fast download and upload and HTML Browser. For connectivity it has USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0. It also has a In built GPS system for the navigation purpose which gets power from a powerful chip. This phone includes WI-FI connectivity. The battery back up of the phone is reliable. The external memory requirement can be filled out by microSD expansion slot .Undoubtedly it’s a good purchase to invest in.

I get a new phone this year and noticed motorola's 4 new phones coming out for Verizon Wireless. The Flash, Calgary, Rush 2, and Inferno. I am rather drawn to the Calgary and would like some information on it like a release date or if it need a data plan and other stuff like that. Anything would be nice though
