Motorola has finally launched its most advanced and technically complete phone in the name of DROID. With every second manufacturer launching an Android phone, it was inevitable for Motorola to launch an Android stunner to sustain itself in the market. After disappointing everyone for so many years with not-so-great phones, finally it seems Motorola has delivered.

The Motorola DROID is beautiful in a different sense. It looks like a robust factory phone with a manly appeal to it. The phone has a huge 3.7 inch display and has a dedicated slider QWERTY keypad attached to it. The keys are well positioned and are comfortable to use. The onscreen keyboard is also comfortable to use for shorter messages. The full glass display ensures an awesome experience while surfing websites

The 256RAM inside the DROID provides a robust performance and gets all the basic tasks done without any lag. The multitasking performance of the phone is also very good. The phone has a 5-megapixel camera with flash and so imaging is a good experience in the day time as well as during the nights or dim lights. The focus feature of the phone is a bit slow so you have to be patient while taking snaps. The videos on the phone are very clear and full marks to the phone for its video clarity. The phone also rocks in the multimedia department with awesome sound quality and an excellent music player.

All the applications on the phone are responsive, although some third party applications are not supported by the phone. There is a handsome dock that comes with the phone that adds to the style quotient of the phone. The battery life of the phone is not so great but goes for around 24hrs without any hassles. A definite winner on all grounds for sure. The Motorola DROID is here to stay.

HOw is the New Motorola Droid does it have any Flaws
Answer:I've used the Motorola Droid on several occasions, and I must admit that it is a pretty strong competitor to the Apple iPhone. However, after reading my pros and cons list, you will see why I would choose the iPhone over the Droid any day. PROS (for Droid) -Physical slide-out keyboard -Multitasking capable (run multiple applications at once) CONS (for Droid) -Physical keyboard is difficult to type on -Internet browser is far inferior to the one found on an iPhone -Though the phone has 16 GB of memory, only a preset, small fraction of that can be used to store apps -Much smaller catalog off apps available for download compared to 100,000+ you can get on iPhone The verdict: If you are stuck on Verizon, then I would go with the Droid, but otherwise I would pick AT&T and get an iPhone.

Can a Motorola Droid phone be bought in the USA and activated on a plan in Canada?
No idea when the motorola droid will be coming to canada, but is it able to buy this, or other phones (that arent in canada), in the USA and activate them on a plan in Canada?
Answer:no because it cdma... you should wait until the gsm comes out... and then unlocked it and take it to canada :)

How do I get the Motorola Droid without signing a contract?
I want the Motorola Droid but my dad works for AT&T, so he cannot sign the contract for a different service (In this case, Verizon). I might come across the phone itself, but how can I get the service without him signing a contract? I am 15 by the way, so I can't sign it either.
Answer:You can try a couple things. Buy the Verizon Droid or Eris at http://droidcellphone.com with no contract and get Verizon pay as you go plan. You can also buy pay as you go 3G Internet. $5.00 a day to $50.00 a month. $29.00 with a plan so you pay a couple bucks extra to use it. You cant use the Verizon 3G Network without some kind of plan or pay as you go, but you can connect via Bluetooth and WiFi . Android is totally open source so you are welcome to get the Droid Smartphones and hack away. Join the developers community and participate. This is the most exciting time for the development of next gen aka 4G Smartphones. 100's of millions of smartphones are expected to go online by 2012. Get the Droid and use what you can until you can hack it for AT&T

How can I delete a bookmark from the web browser on the Motorola Droid?
Just bought the Motorola Droid and want to delete some of the bookmarks in the web browser. Has anyone figured out how? There is no 'delete' or 'edit' button.
Answer:user above is correct. Go to the bookmark, hold your finger on it until the options pop up, then select delete. I have the droid, its the shiznizzle

How does one save pics sent by others through picture mail on the Motorola Droid?
I want to be able to save pics my friends send me through picture mail. I want to save them to the memory card on my Motorola Droid.
Answer:I think you can just press and hold on the picture and then select "copy attached to the SD card" I hope this helps!

Can I buy a Motorola Droid from Verizon at the 2-year price instead of the retail price?
I just reestablished my 2-year plan with Verizon about 3 months ago and the new Motorola Droid just came out. The 2-year contract price for the Droid is $199 and the retail price is between $500-$600. Would I have to pay the full price of the phone if I want buy the Droid?
Answer:Yes you would have to pay the full price because you are already in a 2 year contract. You only get that 2 year price if you havent upgraded and will be upgrading or if your contract is over

Where can I find a good tutorial for the Motorola Droid phone?
Is it just me, or is the "getting started" guide that comes with the Motorola Droid a bit sparse? I'm looking for a more detailed tutorial for the phone.
Answer:I've got the Droid, but haven't looked at the getting started book. What is it you need to know? One of the best places for information regarding the phone would be the community group at Verizon. How do you text sidedways with the touch keyboard on the motorola droid?
I just got the new motorola droid but I can't figure out how to text on the touchscreen sideways. Thanks! I've been doing that and its still not working so I think its broken. I'm gonna bring it to verizon tomorow.

Answer:Press the picture in the text message (not while the picture is full screen) and hold until the menu pops up. Choose "Copy to SD Card" and it will be saved in the "download" folder.

Does anyone know how much the Motorola Droid for verizon will be?
I have seen pictures of the Motorola Droid online and I really like it. It is supposed to come out on November 6th and I really would like to know how much it will cost. Are there any Verizon employees out there? Please answer my question!
Answer:Okay, Its called the Motorola Droid. Its a Smartphone running Android 2.0 Eclair. Its going to be released on November 6, 2009 on Verizon Wireless.com, in-stores, and other retailers. Best Buy is accepting pre-orders now. Its going to be $299 with a 2/year contract with a $100 mail-in-rebate from Verizon in a form of a Debit Card. OR if you get it from Best Buy they give you the Rebate Instantly which means you only pay for the $199 price tag since thats what the phone is after rebate. Now Monthly you have to pay a $30/Data Plan which is mandatory to have the phone as well as the Voice plan and if you want Visual Voicemail, Text, Insurance, etc thats also extra.
