The Acer Liquid A1 is a new smart phone developed by Acer that will use Android 1.6. It is the 1st smart phone that’s running Google’s open source OS to pack a qualcomm snapdragon chipset that lacks UI customization.
Acer liquid’s physical design though not much convincing; it scores high for its performance and stability. It gives an impression to be somewhat between smartphone, a personal navigation device and a media player. It has got a sleek design and powerful features are sure to entice the customer. It has an 800 X 480 WVGA capacitive touch screen that is highly impressive for a phone of that size. It’s a fully touch screen with no actual buttons. It comes in black, red and white colours with a sleek shape.
It has great native exchange support with different application for streaming media and social networking. Its single touch screen allows to switch wifi, gps, BLUETOOTH on or off with a brand new dialer as added feature. The hardware is impressive though some essential features are missing like an LED flash, and an integrated twitter client. It also has introduced a task managing application switcher. It includes features like playing songs and videos on the handheld liquid phone. It is also good for the internet surfing and browsing and allows high speed web access through HSPA mobile network.
Acer’s being relatively new in the phone world, consumers fear to rely too much on it. If Acer Liquid is to be compared with the iPhone or the G1 or G2 phones, the latter still comes way ahead
